Our Culture

At Kolmeta, we value the power of the collective.  It’s an inherent part of our name which is inspired by the Latin root words “change together” - we empower our clients to collaborate and believe that the success of the individual may only truly be realized if the collective is successful.

About our COLLECTIVE

Throughout our careers, we have been inspired by a collection of experienced mentors and expert practitioners who have allowed us to have incredibly fulfilling professional lives… and we have also seen first hand what can happen to employees and organizations that do not have that inspirational or even foundational core value system in place that motivates individuals or achieves business results.

Driven by the intent to make a difference for organizations and the professionals that work for them, our purpose is to cultivate inspiring environments for professionals to thrive and allow organizations (and the collectives within) to achieve their most audacious goals.

KIMberlea Kozachenko

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & FOUNDER

When Kimberlea was first exploring what she wanted to be when she grew up, she was convinced she was going to be an accountant.  Less than 30-seconds in front of a ledger on her first day of university gave her IMMEDIATE clarity (translation: she panicked) and quickly decided to leave the numbers to the pros and focus on people instead.  And this was an excellent choice.

Kim has grown her career in the world of People & Culture as an executive leader in corporate environments, as an entrepreneur, and as a consultant.

In 2019, Kim founded Kolmeta People & Culture Partners Inc. when she realized just how lucky she was to have experienced a point in her corporate career in which she really loved her job.  She realized she was the exception - not the rule - to how most people move through their working careers.  Now more than ever, this continues to be a significant issue in the employment landscape.  Kim was driven to support leaders in organizations to create better employee experiences and business outcomes on a global scale.  Kolmeta’s brand has now become synonymous with Kim’s positive energy, her unique way of understanding who people are at the core and what drives them, her ability to create clarity and balance for organizations and their leaders as they develop, pivot, or evolve, and her passion for connecting business strategy to people practices.

Kim has led the creation and implementation of numerous leading-edge people & culture tools for small start-ups and large enterprises across multiple industries in Canada and the United States including recruitment initiatives, talent development programs, leadership advancement strategies, and technology platforms. She is a sought-after international speaker and consultant to the talent and business community and has been invited to contribute at world-class events for companies such as LinkedIn, MediaCorp, numerous professional designation associations, Universities including Harvard Business School, University of Calgary, and more.  She holds professional designations of Registered Professional Recruiter (R.P.R.), Certified Leadership Coach (C.L.C.), Associate Certified Coach (A.C.C.) and is an internationally published writer with her works printed in digital copy in Canada and the United States and in paperback/hardcover in Canada and the United Kingdom. Kim also volunteers her time generously to the intellectual advancement of Canada's post-secondary student population in the form of mentorship.

When she’s not collaborating with her team and with clients, Kim has a pretty clear equation for designing her best days: her husband Sean + their dog Eddie. Add in some friends, family, great food, an outdoor cardio-based activity and some sunshine, and Kim is all smiles.

“Through my company, KOLMETA People & Culture Partners Inc., and through my partnerships, I want to help individuals and organizations achieve their most audacious goals. I believe relentless innovation, transparency, and genuine connections will transform global talent practices for the better.”
